Operate as an AI-Native Company
Using AI to augment how you work gets you 30%. Rebuild around it and you get 300+%
The shift
For prior years the question was “can AI do this?” That question is largely answered. The new question is “have we redesigned how we work so that AI actually does it, at the scale and standard the business needs?”
Most organizations have not. They bolt AI onto the workflow they already had and get a modest lift. The ones that rethink the workflow around AI get a step change. The leverage was never the tool, and it was never a better model. It is the redesign.
An operating system, not a list of tools
Buying seats and handing out access is a list of tools. It produces activity (usage dashboards, scattered experiments) and very little value. An operating system is different: shared context the work can draw on, repeatable workflows people can run and improve, and the judgment of the company encoded so the work no longer depends on any one person being in the room.
The difference between the two is the difference between a company that has AI and a company that runs on it.
Why now
The race is no longer about who has the smartest model. The frontier models are all extraordinarily capable, and the gap between them matters far less than the gap between an organization that has redesigned itself around AI and one that has not. A mediocre model inside an AI-native company beats a frontier model inside a fragmented one, every time.
That means the advantage is built, not bought. It compounds for whoever starts first, and the gap widens every week the redesign is delayed.
What we want to accomplish
Become an AI native company: take the judgment, clear thinking, and product vision we already have, and connect it to the practices that turn that judgment into systems which produce value at a speed and scale we could never reach by hand, and that get better every time they are used.
Same team. Same vision. Multiplied.
What we are doing about this now
This quarter’s plan to put it into motion: 2026 Q3 OKR Draft (Q3 2026).
Where to go next
- New to the idea: what it means to be AI native.
- Think a better AI is the answer: why what you build around it matters more, the harness.
- Tell whether you are there: the AI-Native Litmus Test.
- What your own work becomes: from doer to system builder.
- How to actually work this way: the redesign rules.
- The thinking behind it: the source-library.
